With roughly one third of labors today starting by induction, and many more being offered the option, there is a good chance that you will be faced with the decision of whether or not to be induced. This class offers you all of the tools to make an informed decision and have the best possible induction if you do decide to go that route.

Topics covered:

  • the most common reasons for induction

  • why more people have been induced since the publishing of the ARRIVE trial in 2018

  • the benefits and risks of induction according to recent research

  • the questions to ask yourself and your health care provider to discern whether induction is appropriate in your own situation

  • alternatives to medical induction

  • what to expect if you agree to induction

  • tools to make induction more easily managed
