Infant Massage Series

Two babies lying on their backs on padded mats, each being held gently by an adult sitting cross-legged on a carpeted floor. The adults look at the babies with smiles in a room with a large window, houseplants, and a closed door.

This 4-week class promotes connection with your infant as well as other families in the same life stage. The first 10 minutes of each class is spent getting settled and connecting, followed by 30-40 minutes learning the stroke routine for that week with review of the previous week, and the final 10 minutes to wrap up.

Topics covered:

  • The basics of touch on each body section- legs & feet, arms & hands, chest, stomach, back, face.

  • How to use massage to relieve gas pain or colic issues.

  • Movements to promote cross-body connections

  • Infant cues and how to read them.

  • How to build the concept of body consent from a very young age.

  • Other topics as requested by individuals/the group.

You will be massaging your baby (or a practice doll if they happen to be asleep). Robin will be modeling the strokes on a doll.
