New Parent Community Groups

One of the most effective ways to ease the transition into parenting is having a community in which to share the joys, challenges, and perpetual learning that is inherent in raising children. Let The Nesting Spot provide you with your community! We offer a number of opportunities for parents to get to know each other, commiserate, share ideas, and remember they are not alone on this journey, facilitated by seasoned professionals.

    New Moms Group

    Connect with other new moms and share your experiences and knowledge, and ask questions in a supportive environment where we all understand mothering is not an easy task.

    Led by Board Certified Lactation Consultants, so your feeding questions may be expertly addressed. Our facilitator may recommend a private session if your question is more than what can be addressed in a group setting.

    Best for: Any new mom and her Little One(s)

    Suggested Time Frame: Postpartum: birth until baby is mobile (about 8 months)

    Led by: Adrienne Plaza, IBCLC or Janet Dombro, IBCLC

    Fee: $20 per group or $90 for a 5-group pass or $150 for 10-group pass

    *please contact TNS if you want to join, but are having difficulties with the fee for this group. We will never turn anyone away who may not be able to pay the fee.

    New Parents Mingle

    Connect with other new parents in a fun atmosphere over light refreshments, Partners are encouraged to attend in order to build more community and tackle parenting as a village!

    Best for: Any new parent, partners welcome, and their Little One(s)

    Suggested time frame: Postpartum, until baby is mobile (about 8 months)

    Led by: Stephanie D'Ornellas or Caren Hespeler

    Fee: $20 per parent per group or $90 for a 5-group pass or $150 for 10-group pass (partners may share passes)

    FIFTH Thursday Special Group event for New Parents

    Once in a while, a long month may have a fifth Thursday! Instead of dedicating it to our usual New Moms group, we hold a special event for our new parents. Watch for details as we approach a fifth Thursday!

    Best for: Any new parent and their non-mobile baby
