New Parent Community Groups

One of the most effective ways to ease the transition into parenting is having a community in which to share the joys, challenges, and perpetual learning that is inherent in raising children. Let The Nesting Spot provide you with your community! We offer a number of opportunities for parents to get to know each other, commiserate, share ideas, and remember they are not alone on this journey, facilitated by seasoned professionals.

    New Moms Group

    The Nesting Spot’s New Moms Group is a 6-week series where new moms can connect, share experiences, exchange parenting tips, and be reminded that it’s okay to make mistakes—and that in spite of it all, you really do know what’s best for your little one.

    Best for: Any new mom and her Little One(s)

    Suggested Time Frame: Postpartum: birth until baby is mobile (about 8 months)

    New Parents Mingle

    Connect with other new parents in a fun atmosphere over light refreshments, Partners are encouraged to attend in order to build more community and tackle parenting as a village! Every group will be a different time and theme, so please watch for dates and times!

    Best for: Any new parent, partners welcome, and their Little One(s)

    Suggested time frame: Postpartum, until baby is mobile (about 8 months)

  • New Mom Continuation Group

    After your first 6-week New Mom group at TNS, join the Continuation group and gain even more new mom friends! Motherhood continues for the long haul, and so should your support and learning.

    Best For: Any new mom and her Little One(s) who have gone through the first 6-week New Mom group.

    Suggested Time Frame: About 10 weeks until baby is mobile

  • Private Flange Fitting

    Thirty minute private flange fitting and pumping support for new moms with Janet Dombro, an IBCLC with over 20 years of experience and knowledge . Please bring your pump, bottles, tubes, and all parts you currently have.

    Janet will help pumping moms try multiple sizes of flanges, cushions, and inserts to evaluate which “FITS” best. We look at Feel, Intensity, Tempo, Supply.

    Best For: Pumping Parents during the first year postpartum, who are concerned that their flanges are not fitting properly anymore.
