Supporting Positive Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Early Parenthood
Most people enter pregnancy and early parenthood without access to the knowledge and support they truly need—and too often, they find out the hard way. At The Nesting Spot, we opened our doors to change that. With over 20 years of experience as both birth professionals and parents, our founding team has seen firsthand how the right guidance can turn confusion into confidence and overwhelm into joy. Our classes and community offerings are here to help families navigate this tender time with more ease, connection, and clarity—because you shouldn’t have to reinvent the perinatal wheel all by yourself.
“In an era where so much is done online and remotely, The Nesting Spot is an exceptional resource for parents and parents-to-be who are looking for in-person resources and community...Becoming a parent can be confusing and overwhelming, so places like The Nesting Spot are invaluable in helping you through that process, and maybe making some friends along the way!”

Beyond
Our Story
The Nesting Spot for Birth & Beyond was founded by doula and parent, Caren Hespeler, with the vision of creating a supportive and nurturing environment for expectant and new parents in the South Bay Area inspired by her own experience becoming a parent over 20 years ago. The connections she formed in a new moms’ group remain a vital source of support and friendship to this day. After seeing how opportunities for new parents to create authentic connections disappeared as a result of the Covid pandemic, she was inspired to open The Nesting Spot to help rebuild that sense of community. Our team of experienced professionals are dedicated to providing you with personalized care and empowering families through education and community.

Please give yourself a little extra time for more cars and congestion near and around Valley Fair Mall.
Taking Steven’s Creek Blvd exit, avoid the mall by driving behind it. It’ll save you a bit of headache, but taking Bascom exit will help even more!
Taking Bascom Avenue exit instead of Steven’s Creek Blvd exit, will be the most helpful detour to avoid mall traffic.
